$40 makes an impact

VOCATIONAL SCHOOL PROGRAM

Jobs are not easy to come by in Haiti. That is why we are expanding our education program beyond the typical classroom and into life and vocational skills. $40 helps cover the typical cost of getting a student through an initial 10-month vocational training program and ready for employment in the community. Additional supplies and materials are approximately $40 more.

The Background

La Pointe Haiti is home to thousands of people. Until 2016, most did not have an opportunity to go to school feeding the countries average of only 5% of Haitians graduating high school. But, with your help, local leaders were able to create a safe and nurturing space for kids to come and learn. There are now over 600 students enrolled in our school, breaking cycles of generational poverty.

But, we have realized this is not enough - we must do more. Education is the foundation, but job creation is the next step. The dream of the local community was to create a vocational training school to supply the much needed skills for students, community members, and beyond.

The lifeline job creation produces?

People are no longer be forced to flee their homes in search of job opportunity.

Kids can grow up in their families and not in orphanages.

Financial pressures are removed and replaced with growth and sustainability.

In 2022 we completed the Vocational School Building Project and celebrated the first graduation.
